Building a Stronger REALTOR® Brand in Southern Utah

The Washington County Board of REALTORS® has introduced a refreshed brand built around a clear purpose: helping our members achieve greater success as they navigate a changing real estate industry.

Our new brand positioning reflects the role WCBR strives to play for local REALTORS®—providing the perspective, confidence, and control they need to build successful careers while strengthening the communities they serve.

But our brand isn’t only about how we support our members. It’s also about how we communicate the value of REALTORS® to the public.

Through an ongoing mix of advertising, community partnerships, sponsorships, media outreach, and digital content, WCBR works to strengthen the REALTOR® brand throughout Southern Utah and reinforce the value of working with a trusted local REALTOR® who understands our market, our communities, and the complexities of buying and selling real estate.

Our public outreach has included billboards throughout Washington County, local radio and digital advertising, print publications, high school partnerships, year-round advertising with Utah Tech University, community events, and an active social media presence. Together, these efforts help keep REALTORS® visible and reinforce their role as trusted professionals in the Southern Utah real estate market.

Connecting Consumers with Local Real Estate

An important part of that effort is SouthernUtahRealEstate.com, WCBR’s consumer-facing real estate resource designed to connect the public with accurate local housing information and the REALTORS® who serve our communities.

The platform gives consumers access to real-time MLS property listings directly from the Washington County and Iron County MLSs, while keeping local REALTORS® at the center of the real estate experience. Unlike many third-party listing platforms, consumers can connect directly with the REALTOR® associated with a property without unnecessary lead-capture barriers.

Beyond home search, SouthernUtahRealEstate.com provides local market information, buyer and seller resources, community insights, and connections to professionals and services throughout the area.

Advocacy Through Visibility

Every billboard, advertisement, community partnership, article, and social media post is part of a larger effort to advocate for our members.

By increasing public understanding of the expertise and value REALTORS® bring to a transaction, WCBR is working to strengthen consumer confidence in the REALTOR® brand and ensure our members remain an important part of the conversation around real estate and homeownership in Southern Utah.

Our brand may look different, but our focus remains clear: supporting our members, advocating for their profession, and helping Southern Utah consumers navigate real estate with greater confidence.

Open Door Tour: Connecting with The Community

In April 2026, WCBR launched the first-ever Washington County Open Door Tour, a free, county-wide open house event designed to make exploring Southern Utah real estate more accessible and engaging for the public. Buyers could create their own route and explore homes, neighborhoods, and price points throughout Washington County in a single day.

The inaugural event featured approximately 270 listings across Washington County, creating significant exposure for participating properties and proving to be a successful opportunity for many of our members to generate foot traffic, connect with prospective buyers, and showcase their listings.

WCBR supported the event through a coordinated public awareness campaign across social media, radio, targeted email, and local news, with participating properties featured together on SouthernUtahRealEstate.com. The event also gave consumers an opportunity to connect directly with local real estate professionals, ask questions, and experience firsthand the knowledge and guidance REALTORS® bring to the home-buying process.

Beyond the event itself, the Open Door Tour represented a direct investment in our members and the REALTOR® brand. By combining Association resources with broad public promotion, WCBR was able to amplify the reach of individual listings and drive consumers toward a local, REALTOR®-focused real estate resource. The campaign generated measurable increases in website traffic and hundreds of thousands of advertising impressions throughout the community.

The success of the first Open Door Tour demonstrated what can happen when REALTORS®, the Board, and the community come together—creating greater visibility for our members and their listings while strengthening the connection between local REALTORS® and the communities they serve.

Southern Utah MagazineWHERE COMMUNITY & HOUSING MEET: THE IMPACT OF REACH

Strong communities are not built by chance, but by people who choose to show up for one another. That spirit of connection and the care residents have for each other is easy to see throughout Washington County, where residents, businesses, and REALTORS® come together to support housing opportunities and strengthen the place we call home.

These people-centric initiatives are the backbone of a strong community, and a standout example is the local REACH Foundation. This program is powered by the Washington County Board of REALTORS® and stands for Real Estate Assistance for Community Housing. It is built on the spirit of giving and brings together real estate professionals, local businesses, and community members who are committed to enhancing community well-being by expanding access to attainable and quality housing.

REACH exists to help individuals, families, and our local workforce put down roots in Washington County. It assists residents in their move from renting or struggling situations into stable homeownership, while also supporting housing-related community needs. The program combines grants, advocacy, and community support to make housing more achievable.

How is this done? The program helps by providing down-payment assistance for qualified buyers, expands housing access in the community, and helps essential workers, families, and local community members access stable housing.

But beyond the financial help there’s something more meaningful happening. These efforts create stability for individuals and families, strengthen neighborhoods, and keep people connected to this place we call home. It’s a way to build a future right here in Southern Utah.  That impact is a result of people showing up and caring enough to give back.

In Washington County, REALTORS® continue to lead by example. While people often think of REALTORS® as helping clients buy and sell homes, their role goes much deeper. Behind the scenes, many are actively volunteering, supporting local programs, and organizing events that make a real difference for local families–proving that small efforts, when done together, can create lasting change. At the end of the day, it’s not just about houses. It’s about creating pathways, breaking down barriers, helping people put down roots in the community they love, and building a future where everyone has a place to call home.

Fun Fact:

Did you know that one of our very own REALTORS® is the voice behind our jingle? 2024 WCBR President Tammy Houchen graciously lent her talent to sing and record it, making our campaign even more special. We’re proud to showcase the incredible talents within our REALTOR® community—thank you, Tammy!
